I am very interested in Semantic MediaWiki and would love to learn more. So, I'd like to ask some specific questions. Perhaps, someone can get this to the person who setup the Semantic MediaWiki (SMW) features, as some of my questions might be best answered by that person.

1) On my page, I view the source and see what looks like a template being called named:

{{Showfacts person

given_name

etc.

}}

I don't see a Template:Showfacts. I mean when I browse there, it asks if I want to create the page. I was hoping to find the SMW properties used and the list of variables.

So, how does this work?

2) What does the template look like? I would assume it has variables such as given_name, middle_name, surname, father, mother, etc.

3) I assume that the template further matches the variable names with properties/annotations. How would I see this happening? Can someone tell me the pages I should view to see this information.

Thanks,

Bruce

The template is {{Showfacts person}}, and is not an easy read. Thurstan 20:27, February 20, 2011 (UTC)

{{Info battle}} is a better place to start. See Battle of Bornhöved (1227). rtol 20:44, February 20, 2011 (UTC)
