::It doesn't say that to me. It says "Tabulates on an individual's page the children of the parents of that individual, separating the various partnerships". It then goes on to talk about an optional parameter but doesn't explain that. Maybe it should say that if you want the mother's children listed (as its introduction promises) you must add her pagename after a pipe and that if you want both - i.e. the father's as well - you must add his pagename after another pipe? -- Robin Patterson (Talk) 11:13, October 22, 2013 (UTC)

::No, it shouldn't say that yet, because it doesn't work like that: you get just the first one. Someone should try to fix it, please!!! Even if it's going to mean duplicating the person while listing the second parent. -- Robin Patterson (Talk) 11:24, October 22, 2013 (UTC)

Forums: Index > Help desk > Siblings from only one parent

Heather Campbell (1911-2004) is showing siblings only from her father. She should show three siblings from her mother (two from marriages and one not). They all show on the mother's article and descendants page. Do I need to repeat endless cycles of republishing or is there a simpler answer? -- Robin Patterson (Talk) 08:07, October 22, 2013 (UTC)

The documentation says that Showfacts siblings via only uses one parent (so doesn't show half-siblings on the other side). Thurstan (talk) 10:38, October 22, 2013 (UTC)
It doesn't say that to me.

No, it shouldn't say that yet, because it doesn't work like that: you get just the first one. Someone should try to fix it, please!!! Even if it's going to mean duplicating the person while listing the second parent. -- Robin Patterson (Talk) 11:24, October 22, 2013 (UTC)
