Forums: Index > Watercooler > PhloxBot flooding of the recent changes list

There is a problem with voluminous edits making it difficult to read the change log. Starting today, PhloxBot is going to register his changes as "Minor" edits, so that folks can screen them out. They certainly aren't minor- since new articles are being created.

Long term, PhloxBot will get a bot flag, which means that you will be able to screen out messages the way you are meant to- by clicking Hide bot edits. Robin- I know you said they don't have scripts for allowing sysops to add this flag, but maybe you can hit up a staff dude to flag PhloxBot? On the other hand, I suppose the minor edits expedient will work for a while...

Marking them all as "Minor" seems like a good idea to me. We still don't have the "makebot" thing that flags a bot. Maybe I can pester staff. Robin Patterson 23:35, 26 October 2007 (UTC)
Please do. Image uploads cannot be marked as Minor, so all those will flood the recent changes list. ~ Phlox 02:56, 27 October 2007 (UTC)
