I haven't been able to find an existing category for people that are/were masons. I see Zeph made "Template:Mason" but it doesn't seem to have been used for anything. Since finding a gravestone with a masonic symbol on it seems pretty common, would anyone mind if I made Category: Mason? Has this been discussed before? Plcoffey 15:24, June 24, 2010 (UTC)

This is a wiki. You are free to add categories as you see fit. rtol 20:42, June 24, 2010 (UTC)
Category names are normally plural, so make Category:Masons. Thurstan 21:44, June 24, 2010 (UTC)
And give it the same parent categories as Wikipedia gives it, using {{alsoWP}} to link them all to WP. — Robin Patterson (Talk) 04:26, June 25, 2010 (UTC)
Wikipedia consensus appears to have decided against using a Mason category for biographical entries, instead creating a list of notable freemasons. However I will go ahead and create it when I get the time, I feel that it is more suited to our needs. I will create the parent categories and {{alsoWP}} them up. Plcoffey 15:49, June 25, 2010 (UTC)
