Wikidata is a massive database that contains formatted data about about churches, cemeteries, and people that are in Wikipedia or Wikicommons. The nice thing is that the family members of people named in Commons and Wikipedia are allowed entries. See OScar Arthur Moritz Lindauer as an example. If I am looking at a document in Wiki Commons and it concerns a person NOT in Wikipedia, I can link to Wikidata, here for example. I can now have a link to Wikidata from Wikipedia and Wiki Commons for non-notable people. I eventually will make it so that Wikidata contains a link to Familypedia. Wikidata assigns an authority control number to that object that stays the same even if the name of the object changes. It links to other outside databases.--Richard Arthur Norton (talk) 16:15, July 26, 2015 (UTC)

wikipedia:meta:Interwiki_map tells me that the Interwiki map is stored in a seperate database table. You can view it using the API: http://familypedia.wikia.com/api.php?action=query&meta=siteinfo&siprop=interwikimap. There don't seem to be any words about how it is updated.

To link to the wikis which are not in the table, I vector through Wikipedia: so wikipedia:wikidata:Q20656299 gets me to Oscar Arthur Moritz Lindauer on wikidata (note that "commons" is in the map, so commons:Category:Oscar Arthur Moritz Lindauer does work). Does anyone know where the Interwiki map is stored and how to update it? Before making the change please show me so I can learn how it is done. We need to be able to connect to Wikidata. We have to assign "d:" and "wikidata:" as shortcuts for the string "//www.wikidata.org/wiki/$1".

It links to other outside databases.--Richard Arthur Norton (talk) 16:15, July 26, 2015 (UTC)

I would assume it is a matter of "Contact Wikia". Thurstan (talk) 20:23, July 26, 2015 (UTC)

wikipedia:meta:Interwiki_map tells me that the Interwiki map is stored in a seperate database table.

Thurstan (talk) 22:22, July 26, 2015 (UTC)
