Here's a perplexing message received when I try to create a sensor page:

A database query syntax error has occurred. This may indicate a bug in the software. The last attempted database query was:

   (SQL query hidden)

from within function "SMW::getQueryResult". Database returned error "1146: Table 'smw+genealogy.t2' doesn't exist (10.8.64.133)".

I'll send it to Wikia with a screenshot but I'd welcome comment from local experts. ---- Robin Patterson (Talk) 05:41, August 22, 2014 (UTC)

Which page did the error occur on? Thurstan (talk) 05:45, August 22, 2014 (UTC)

Quoting from Wikia's "copy of contact":

User Robin Patterson reports a problem with feature "Page creation".

URL to problem page: http://familypedia.wikia.com/wiki/Jewel_C._Martin_%281926-1990%29/sensor

Description of issue:

Database error message. Repeated when I backtracked and tried again to create a "sensor page" in the same way as I have done hundreds of times before.

The URL I quoted was probably not quite accurate because I think I had just hit the Publish button, at which stage there's a more complex URL (which staff can read on the screenshot; it starts with "... Special:FormEdit...") - but that was the only one apparent when I backtracked to give them the URL. Anyway, when I returned to the page it had been created.

Maybe this forum will help the next person who gets such an error message: "If at first you don't succeed, ..."; "third time lucky"?
