Esteban Jover was born in La Paz, Iloilo city, Iloilo, Philippines . He married Antonia Hechanova y Gamboa in Catholic Church in La Paz, Iloilo City, Iloilo, Philippines.

The name of Esteban Jover is listed among the one hundred fifty-six landowners of La Paz, Iloilo (in the Philippines) during the U.S Colonial Regime, as published in the Official Gazette of the U.S. Insular Government of the Philippine Islands, Nos. 1-52, dated 31 December 1916.^[1]

Jover-Hechanova Family c — Jover Family (descendants of Esteban Jover) of La Paz and Jaro Districts in Iloilo City with their widowed matriarch Antonia Gamboa Hechanova Vda. de Jover (seated at the Center), c. 1935. Seated to her left (n. 7) is Dominador Jover (the future Mayor of Iloilo City). Carmen Jalandoni Jover is right behind Mayor Jover (n.8). Carmen's other sister Remedios Jover is the young lady sitting second from the right (n. 7).

Esteban Jover is also mentioned in the Baptismal Records of his grandson Carlos Jalandoni Jover. It says that he is the father of Felimon Hechanova Jover and that his wife is Antonia Hechanova.^[2] Other baptismal entries in the canonical books of the Roman Catholic Parish in La Paz, Iloilo also mention him and his wife Antonia Hechanova as grandparents of Digna Jover Brillantes (child of his daughter Paz Hechanova Brillantes and Irineo Jayahon Brillantes),^[3] and Ramon Jover Macainan (son of his daughter Maria Hechanova Jover and Eugenio Delijero Macainan).^[4]

There are no extant records of his birth and death. However, calculating from the existing records of his descendants and the surviving dated photo of them with his widow Antonia Gamboa Hechanova, Esteban Jover must have been born in the mid 1800s and died in the 1930s.
