¶ Death
  • A Centenarian's Death. Owen Drady, of Tea Tree Springs, near Garland, died last week, and was buried in the Lyndhurst cemetery on Friday. The deceased was probably the oldest inhabitant of the State, being born in the year 1807 [sic]. Consequently, he was 105 years of age. He was a well-known identity of the district, and despite his great age was active and in possession of all his faculties, except that his sight was failing, until the last, Mr. Drady, whose wife predeceased him by 22 years, leaves a large number of descendants, running into the fourth generation.
