Edward Prower, Jr. was born circa 1594 in Great Burstead, Essex, England to Edward Prower (c1575-1605) and Mary Prower (c1575-1621) .

Research Notes

His brother, Solomon Prower (1596-1620) came on the Mayflower with his step-father Christopher Martin and his mother Mary. He is listed as a servant, because he was over age 21. He died the first winter at Plymouth Colony.

News of his death would have reached his family back in England in the spring of 1621. On 19 August 1621, Solomon Prower's older brother, Edward Prower (1594-), baptized his eldest son, naming him Solomon. When the young infant died, he named his second son Solomon as well, baptizing him on 24 November 1622.
