Henry was born at Puketona, married Isabelle Annie Connell (1847-1917) in 1872, and became Auckland branch manager of the fairly young National Insurance Company, becoming its General Manager in 1892 in Dunedin, where he retired in 1018 and died on 6 December 1923.
