Biography
Edward John Jury Cramp was born 7 December 1868 in Crookwell, New South Wales, Australia to Benjamin Josiah Cramp (1840-1917) and Martha Jane Squire Bray (1842-1926) and died 27 January 1905 Narrawa, New South Wales, Australia of unspecified causes.
A Narrawa correspondent writes:—With the sincerest regret I have to record the death of one of our most valued friends, Edward J. Cramp, which sad event took place on Friday evening at Narrawa. He was out rabbit shooting, and in getting through a fence the rifle he was carrying accidentally exploded, causing almost instantaneous death. Poor Ted, over ready and willing to help in every way he could, generous to a fault, he will be sadly missed. The very large concourse of friends who followed his body to its last resting place testified to the respect in which he was held. Deceased was to have been married soon, and had a sister married two days before his death, most of the guests being at the house when the sad news was brought home. Deceased was only 36 years of age.
