Edward Eggins was born 10 May 1869 in Jones Island, New South Wales, Australia to James Eggins (1811-1899) and Caroline Chandler (1825-1888) and died 24 September 1937 Taree, New South Wales, Australia of unspecified causes. He married Elizabeth Neal (1869-1948) 2 December 1891 in Taree, New South Wales, Australia.

Obituary
Mr. Edward Eggins, 68, a life-long resident of the Lower Manning, died on Saturday from pneumonia supervening a fracture of the leg sustained five days before. He was a son of the late James Eggins, of Jones Island, and was a crack ped. in his day. A widow, six sons and a daughter survive. Mr. Tom Eggins, of Grafton, is the only surviving brother, and Mrs. Geo. Hayward, of Jones Island, is the only surviving sister.
