Dungarpur District is a district of the stateWp globe tiny of RajasthanWp globe tiny in western IndiaWp globe tiny. The town of DungarpurWp globe tiny is the district headquarters. Dungarpur lies in 23º 8' N latitude and 73º 7' E longitude. The district has an area of 3,770 km², and the population of the district is 1,107,037 (2001 census). The district is roughly triangular in shape. The Mahi RiverWp globe tiny runs along the western edge of the district, forming the boundary with Banswara DistrictWp globe tiny. The Som RiverWp globe tiny, a tributary of the Mahi, runs along the northern edge of the district, largely forming the boundary with Udaipur DistrictWp globe tiny. The district is bounded on the east by the state of GujaratWp globe tiny.

The VagadWp globe tiny region of Rajasthan includes Dungarpur and Banswara districts. Vagad's population is predominantly BhilWp globe tinys, a tribal people of central India.
