Dorothea Sophie zu Solms-Hohensolms was born 17 October 1595 to Hermann Adolf zu Solms-Hohensolms (1545-1613) and Anna Sophie von Mansfeld zu Hinter-Ort (1562-1601) and died 8 January 1660 in Schillingsfürst, Germany of unspecified causes. She married Georg Friedrich II. von Hohenlohe-Waldenburg-Schillingsfürst (1595-1635) 7 April 1616 in Butzbach, Germany.
