- V. DIADAMA Hyde (310), born at Norwich, Conn,, 10 Dec, 1740, the youngest daughter of the Rev. Jedediah Hyde (46) by his first wife, Sarah Perkins, was a grand-daughter of William Hyde (6) of the third generation.
- She m. 27 Dec., 1761, Dr. Benjamin Butler, b. 21 April, 1739, at Windham, Conn., the third son of Thomas Butler and Abigail Craft of Windham.
- Benjamin Butler and his wife settled at Norwich. He was a physician, and a man of great wit and humor. She d. 18 Sept., 1777 [sic], at Norwich.
- After the death of his first wife, he m. 3 Feb., 1784, Ruth Huntington, b. 1735, daughter of Peter Huntington and Ruth Edgerton, but had no issue by her. He d. 17 June, 1789 [sic], at Norwich.
