Eliza Marie O'Rouke was a licensed R.N. and spent a great part of her life recording our family history.

She was my father's double cousin.  She was a landlord owning commercial property in Palestine, Illinois

and an avid bird watcher, member of the Audubon, and a recluse living in a home adjacent to the Wabash River

at Hutsonville, Illinois.  She had many antiques including an ancestor's player piano.  She was a kind woman and a good friend to me and my Father. I joined her on some of the Christmas bird counts and my son traveled with us

to see a snowy owl that had blown down from the far North and stayed a few days in a farmer's field.
