Charlotte Fuller was born 22 November 1854 in Camden, New South Wales, Australia to George Fuller (c1824-1907) and Sarah Wright (c1829-1917) and died 2 March 1937 Jackalass, New South Wales, Australia of unspecified causes. She married Charles Booby (1847-1910) 23 July 1870 in Gundagai, New South Wales, Australia.
Last week death removed a well-known figure of the South Gundagai community, when Mrs. Charlotte Booby passed away at her home at the advanced age of 83 years.
Deceased had been in failing health for the past six months, and her demise was not unexpected.
About two months ago, she was admitted to the local hospital for a week. That was the only time that she had been in a hospital, as she had enjoyed excellent health during the whole of her life. She retained the use of her faculties right up to the end.
The mortal remains were laid to rest in the Church of England portion of the North Gundagai cemetery, the Rev. Geo. Morirs reading the last prayers.
The late Mrs. Booby was born at Camden, and was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. George Fuller, who came out from England with the Macarthurs, for whom Mr. Fuller worked until he and his family moved to Nangus about 1860. There they remained for the rest of their lives. Mr. Fuller predeceased his wife by many years, Mrs. Fuller dying at the advanced age of 96 years.
Mrs. Booby had lived at Jackalass, South Gundagai, for the past 14 years.
Other members of the Fuller famiy are the brothers Thomas and Edward, and the sisters, Mrs. Louis Manton and Mrs. Eliza Norris, all of whom, are living at Gundagai. The children of Mrs. Booby are her daughters, Mrs. H. Cooper, Mrs. Bell, Mrs. Stewart and Mrs. T. True (deceased) and the sons William (Wee Waa), Joshua (Orange), Charles (Tumblong), Thomas, Arthur and Francis (all living at Jackalass), Alfred (deceased), and Herbert (deceased). Mrs. Jim Walters, of North Gundagai, is the eldest grandchild of the deceased, who leaves 50 grand-children, 100 great-grand children and 20 great-great grandchildren.
