Death of Nurse Carpenter.

News was received in Yass on Thursday night last of the death of Miss Celia Carpenter, which sad event occurred at St. John of God's Hospital, Goulburn, of which institution she had been an inmate for about two months. Her brothers, Messrs. Alf., Jack, and Walter Carpenter, left for Goulburn when they heard of their sister's death. They had been there previously during her illness. The late Miss Carpenter was a native of Yass. She was a private nurse at Goulburn, and was held in the highest esteem by all with whom she had come in contact there. Her many friends in Yass were grieved to hear of her death. Her father and a married sister (Mrs. Dean) reside at Goulburn. The funeral took place on Saturday afternoon in the Methodist portion of Goulburn cemetery, and was very largely attended.
