The Oxford History of Medieval Europe shows a family tree with Beatrice as the wife of Robert I, Duke of France, daughter of Herbert I de Vermandois, and sister of Herbert II de Vermandois. It also says that her brother Herbert II was a crucial ally of both her husband and her son Hugh the Great.
The Foundation for Medieval Genealogy page for Robert I, Duke of France says that in the Historia Francorum Senonensis she is "sororem Herberti", the wife of "Robertus princeps". She and Robert I were married about 897.
