Asa Upham of Weathersfield, Vermont. b. May 18, 1736, in Sturbridge, Mass. m. Lydia Pierce, Dec. 10, 1761. (Lydia died Dec. 11, 1822). They had 12 children. d. Sept. 13, 1826, in Weathersfield, Windsor County Vermont. Buried: Ascutneyville Cemetery, Windsor County Vermont.

Sturbridge birth records list the following under the name UPHAM - "Asa, s. Ezekiel and Hannah May 18, 1738" This does not match date indicated by calculation on the head stone.

3rd son of Capt. Ezekiel Upham. Married Lydia Pierce on Dec. 12 1761 (Asa and Lydia [int. Lidah] Parce [dup. and dup. int. Pierce], Dec. 10, 1761. [Lydya Pi[e]rce, C.R.1.] - NEHGS) and had 12 children in Sturbridge, Mass and Weathersfield, Vermont.

Asa Upham moved from Sturbridge, Mass to Weathersfield, Vt and settled in the center of the town in 1772
