Arthur Cecil Tivey (1868-1923) was born in Staffordshire, England in 1868 and died in Staffordshire, England in 1923 aged fifty-five.


His parents were Francis Tivey (1838-1905), a tailor and Lucretia Brown (1832-1919), a teacher/dressmaker/tailoress. His paternal grandparents were Isaac Tivey (1803-1871), a tailor and Phoebe Morris (1805-1874). His maternal grandparents were Thomas Brown (1786-1836), a clerk/bookkeeper/farmer/carrier/waggoner and Mary Elizabeth Flamell (1794-1854), a farmer and carrier.

Early LifeEdit

Arthur Cecil Tivey was born in Bilston, Staffordshire in 1868. His father left the family when Arthur was about five and later left to Connecticut with a new family. Arthur was raised by his mother who supported the family by tailoring.

Marriage and ChildrenEdit

In 1897 in Wolverhampton Arthur Tivey married Emily Haycock (1875-1963). They had the following children:


In 1901 Arthur was a tailor.

Later LifeEdit

Arthur Tivey passed away in Wolverhampton in 1923 aged fifty-five.
