Anton Filotti was born 1844 in Brăila, Brăila County, Romania to Nestor Filotti (c1814-1869) and Sofia Dulgheru (1825-1889) and died 1887 Buzău, Buzău County, Romania of intestinal occlusion. He married Eliza Bagdat (1852-1939) 6 December 1871 in Buzău, Buzău County, Romania.


Born and raised in Brăila, he was appointed subprefect of Brăila County by C. A. Rosetti (1816-1885). Hw was also owner of the Berlești estate.

After his marriage to Eliza Bagdat he moved to Buzău, where he also served as deputy mayor.

He died at age 43 due to an intestinal occlusion.
