Ann Blanch was born 25 September 1831 in Rolvenden, Kent, England, United Kingdom to Edward Blanch (c1787-1860) and Maria B Ashdown (c1789-1837) and died 7 December 1896 Newcastle, New South Wales, Australia of bronchitis, heart failure. She married Ralph Rae (1834-1880) 25 October 1855 in Newcastle, New South Wales, Australia.
She arrived in New South Wales on 5 November 1838 on the Maitland with her father.
