Obituary

DEATH AT GRENFELL

A well known resident of the Wombat district in the person of Mrs. John Brenner, passed away in the Grenfell Hospital on Tuesday, aged about 50 years. The deceased was a daughter of Mr. Harry Bailey, of Wombat. She was married at Wombat, her husband predeceasing her by about nine months. She leaves a family of nine, four of whom are married, viz.:—Robert (Thuddungra); John (Grenfell), Mrs. Jones (Warraderry), Mrs. Pratt (Bland). Two single sons and three daughters are residing at home. The brothers and sisters are:—Mr. Abe Bailey (Forest Vale, Bland), George and William Bailey (Wombat), the late Pte. Harry Bailey (Wombat), Mrs. Oldfield (Wombat), Mrs Walter Hughes (Thuddungra), and Mrs. Harry Hughes (Thuddungra). The funeral took place on Wednesday, when the remains were laid to rest in the Church of England portion of the Grenfell cemetery.
