Andrei Vladimirovich the Good of Volhynia {Андрей Владимирович Добрый, Князь волынский) was born 11 August 1102 to Vladimir II Vsevolodovich Monomakh of Kiev (1053-1125) and Nomen nescio and died 22 January 1141 of unspecified causes. He married Granddaughter of Tugorkhan (c1100-c1145) 1117 JL .

Andrei Vladimirovich ( August 11, 1102 - January 22, 1141 ) - later also called "The Good" - Prince of Volhynia from 1119, Prince of Pereyaslavl from 1135, the youngest son of the Grand Prince of Kiev Vladimir Monomakh.

In 1119, his father installed Andrei Vladimirovich in Vladimir-Volynsky (after the death of Roman Vladimirovich).

Andrei had to counter the attempts of Prince Yaroslav Svyatopolkovich, the son of the former Grand Prince of Kiev Svyatopolk Izyaslavich, who reigned in Volhynia before the break with Vladimir Monomakh. Yaroslav Svyatopolkovich appealed to the aid of the Poles, Hungarians and Czechs, but was killed in 1123 during the siege of Vladimir-Volynsky.

In 1128 Andrei was sent by his brother, Grand Prince of Kiev Mstislav with other princes, to expel the Princes of Polotsk. In 1135, Andrei was installed as Prince of Pereyaslavl and managed to defend this principality from encroachments of the Grand Prince of Kiev Vsevolod Olgovich, hostile to the Monomakhovichi. After being enthroned as Grand Prince of Kiev, Vsevolod Olgovich gave his brother Svyatoslav Olgovich in the Principality of Kursk and promised him the Principality of Pereyaslavl. Svyatoslav went from Kursk to Pereyaslavl to fight with Andrei Vladimirovich, but was defeated.

He was buried in Pereyaslavl, in the church of St. Michael.
