Amy Constance Hanigan was born 8 December 1888 in Broughton Creek, New South Wales, Australia to James Hanigan (1836-1913) and Ann Chaseling (1844-1893) and died 2 September 1945 Home of Peace, Petersham, New South Wales, Australia of cancer. She married John Overton (-aft1944) 6 April 1912 in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia.

Amy Constance Hanigan married John Overton who she met while running a boarding house with her sister.

John was from Birmingham England and was a carpenter. They had two sons Thomas and Adrian. Thomas and Adrian both signed up for WW2.

Amy died of cancer in 1945.
