Amanda Trimble Gheen Kimball was born 18 January 1830 in East Whiteland, Chester County, Pennsylvania, United States to William Atkins Gheen (1798-1845) and Esther Ann Pierce (1801-1858) and died 4 November 1904 in Salt Lake City, Salt Lake County, Utah, United States of unspecified causes. She married Heber Chase Kimball (1801-1868) 5 February 1846 in Nauvoo, Hancock County, Illinois. Ancestors are from the United States.

Amanda Trimble Gheen (18 January 1830 Pennsylvania-4 November 1904 Salt Lake City), younger sister of Ann Alice Gheen (1827-1879) who earlier had married Heber and was grandmother to LDS Church President Spencer Kimball.

At age 18 she traveled from Nebraska to Utah with the Heber C Kimball wagon train.

The 1904 obituary mentions her funeral services in the Salt Lake 18th Ward Building with many prominent dignitaries of the LDS Church speaking including - Bishop O.F. Whitney, Bishop George Romney and President Joseph F Smith.
