The death took place in the local hospital on Tuesday last of Mr. A. E. Barr, of New Forbes Road, who had had a long and painful illness.
At the time of his demise he was 73 years of ago, and had been a resident of the district for over 40 years.
He leaves a large grown-up family.
He was a brother of Messrs. George, William, and John Barr, Mrs. Birch (Emu Creek), and the late Mrs. F. Freudenstein, The Barrs are a particularly well-known and respected family in this district, having been associated with the development of Grenfell and district for nearly 50 years.
