John Walker was born on an unknown date and died 1669 of unspecified causes. He married Sarah, widow of Col Fleete .
COL. JOHN WALKER was a Burgess for Warwick County, Virginia 1644-49. He was appointed to the Council in 1657/8. His birthdate is not known nor his first wife of whom he had several daughters. He married secondly SARAH FLEETE, widow of COL. HENRY FLEETE. He wrote his will on 22 February 1665 in Rappahannock County, Virginia. His second wife, Sarah, made a gift to his six daughters by his first wife recorded in 1769.
COL. JOHN WALKER was also Lieutant Councillor in 1644, 1646, and 1649. He moved to Gloucester County, Virginia and in 1656 he was Lt. Col. and a member of the Council. There was no higher office in colonial government except that of Governor, which was a royal appointment.
